Before you contact UKTSA
We are sincerely sorry that your experience with UKTSA has not met the high standards we strive to deliver
While we aim for every service delivered by our members to be exceptional, we recognise that things can occasionally go wrong. Each of our members is committed to resolving issues fairly and efficiently.
Before contacting us, please consider the following:
- Have you informed the trader that you are unhappy?
- Have you given the trader an opportunity to resolve the issue?
If you have done both and the matter remains unresolved, or if you feel unable to contact the trader directly, please complete the complaints form.
If you are not seeking assistance but would like UKTSA to be aware of your experience (positive or negative), you may leave feedback instead.
You can also contact us by email at info@uktsa.com or by calling on 0300 302 0446.
What happens next?
Once your complaint is received:
- We will acknowledge your complaint
- We will ask whether you are happy for us to discuss the matter with the trader
- Your identity will not be disclosed without your permission
Please note that if we are unable to share details with the trader, this may limit our ability to assist.
We will request information from the trader, including their account of the matter. The trader may contact you directly to seek a resolution.
With input from Trading Standards Officers, we will review the information and recommend an appropriate course of action. If the issue remains unresolved and the trader agrees, we may offer a route to an approved alternative dispute resolution provider.
Your right to pursue a civil claim remains unaffected by this complaints process.
Please note the limitations of the UKTSA scheme.
