Operating a trader approval scheme is a discretionary service provided by the council. It is not something we are required to do, but it is something we believe supports our local residents and businesses. Where we operate discretionary services of this type we seek to design them to be self-financing to ensure they are sustainable in the long run. Worcestershire, Buckinghamshire and Surrey Trading Standards is not a trading entity and therefore does not seek to make a profit from such enterprises.

We have a communications plan and will be raising awareness through local media, website, press releases, local publications, our day to day work and relevant partners.
