This privacy notice applies to the functions of UKTSA website operated and managed by Surrey County Council acting as Buckinghamshire and Surrey Trading Standards in partnership with United Knowledge Ltd this service that carries out public task functions throughout the UK.
Your personal data is collected in order for us to administer and improve UKTSA website and trader directory and its search functions. It is also used by us for satisfaction surveys and feedback functions. Some telephone calls may be recorded by this service to provide a record of discussions.
The information will be retained by the scheme and local authority to keep a record of the businesses’ memberships and any advice that has been provided as part of our role as a trading standards service.

Other enforcement agencies may request business related information from us that we are required to provide under our statutory obligations.

Where you have engaged with us for advice we will keep your information for 6 years or until the business is no longer trading, or for matters involving the safety of consumer goods the expected life of the product plus 10 years, in line with our retention policy.
